Benchmark LE11

Solid Cylinder/Taper/Sphere - Temperature Loading

The following results are for a model of the LE11 benchmark test from National Agency for Finite Element Methods and Standards (U.K.), also known as NAFEMS(1). ANSYS as well as published ABAQUS results are provided for comparison purposes.

The ANSYS (v10.0), and CalculiX (v2.0) results were obtained from the same geometry mesh and boundary conditions with analogous elements.

The target vertical component of stress at the lower inside corner is: -105 MPa.
