CAE Results Translators

All of the CAE results data translators are bundled with the Open Engineering Suite. Our latest results translation project is a CalculiX results (FRD) to Femap (NEU). This is not yet available in the Open Engineering Suite, but can be provided separately.

CalculiX FRD:

This translator reads the CalculiX results format (FRD) generated by CCX.

  • The VTK format is suitable for importing into Paraview for post processing and visualization.

  • A CCX mesh (nodes and elements) can be extracted from an FRD results file.

  • An Abaqus mesh can be extracted from an FRD results file. This is not an Abaqus results file, it is only the mesh (nodes and elements).

A translator from FRD to Femap is in work.
